-Responsible for education and curriculum training of Head Start teaching staff to meet and/or exceed Head Start Performance Standards and Colorado Child Care Licensing requirements and ensure that children are ready to start school.
-Ensure compliance with classroom parent-teacher conference requirements.
-Responsible for ensuring that the children are provided with learning environments and opportunities that will help them develop physically, socially, cognitively and emotionally, and that parents are supported in their role as the child’s primary teachers.
-Responsible for identifying children who may have a disability, assuring appropriate intervention and services, and for managing, implementing and evaluating comprehensive programs for children with disabilities and their families enrolled.

Why did I choose to work in the Early Childhood field?

I chose to work in the field of early childhood because watching children develop and grow through their early years is amazing. It is a very rewarding field, where you can truly make a difference.
