MISSION: The Colorado Children’s Campaign works to create hope and opportunity in Colorado, more than one million kids at a time. The Colorado Children’s Campaign is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization committed for over 25 years to creating hope and opportunity for all of Colorado’s more than 1.2 million kids. Using the most accurate, compelling data and research on child well-being and backed by an extensive, statewide network of dedicated child advocates, the Children’s Campaign champions policies and programs that improve child health, early childhood experiences, and K-12 education, help lift children out of poverty and provide all of Colorado’s children the opportunity to reach their full potential.

As a dynamic service agency, the Colorado Department of Education provides leadership, resources, support, and accountability to the state’s 178 school districts, 1,780 schools, and over 130,000 educators to help them build capacity to meet the needs of the state’s over 840,000 public school students. CDE also provides services and support to boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES), early learning centers, state correctional schools, facility schools, the state’s libraries, adult/family literacy centers, Colorado Talking Book Library, and General Education Development (GED) testing centers reaching learners of all ages. In addition, CDE provides structural and administrative support to the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind and the Charter School Institute.

The Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care, is the State’s lead agency in planning and implementing public child care policy. The Division of Child Care is responsible for the licensing and monitoring of child care facilities; managing the child care assistance program (CCCAP) for eligible families; administering child care grants and quality initiatives, and serving as the lead in implementing federal child care programs. The overall goal of the Division of Child Care is to promote quality, accessible and affordable child care services for Colorado families.

The Temple Hoyne Buell Foundation is a professional philanthropic organization supporting the positive development of children through grants and partnerships with other sectors of our community.
